Since huge number of internet users belong to young generation, mostly students, it is but an implied truth that they are the most vulnerable to be a victim of online security related crimes.
Lysa Myers of ESET, an internet security firm based in Ireland, encouraged students to be vigilant about online crimes and protect themselves from being a victim. As new academic school year begins, she advised students to secure their mobile devices, laptops and smartphones – whether at school, at home or in public places. She also encouraged them to install tracking and security applications. Myers warned students on using public Wi-Fi and encouraged them to use VPN whenever using untrusted connections.
