It’s not often that a cheese is associated to a computer hack, but researchers of the computer security firm Trend Micro believes that like a Swiss cheese, online security may have holes in it. This is what they think may have allowed the hackers to penetrate online banking protections.

Experts who investigated the case of this recent online hack, says that what hackers have performed during their activity is a multi-stage and sophisticated attack. During this attack, hackers were able to bypass what experts call a 2-factor authentication system of the banks in Japan, Sweden, Switzerland and Austria.
