Computer-MouseInfocomm Government Authority of Singapore has issued a warning on June 25 telling SingPass users to be cautious of fraudulent emails claiming that their PINs have suddenly been suspended. IDA stated in their Facebook post that some users have reported receiving an email entitled “SingPass account security info verification” and that such email was believed to have come from SingPass Government. Furthermore, IDA warned in their post that the email is a phishing email and that users should refrain from clicking the link in order to avoid disastrous results. SingPass users were advised to contact SingPass immediately on the event that a phishing email is received. Check out Today for more information.
