During the commencement of the 10th year anniversary of the National Cyber Security Awareness Month, the Online Trust Alliance (OTA) announces a three-part initiative in order to promote industry self-regulatory efforts in addressing privacy issues and security concerns that affect businesses and consumers across the globe.
Fraudulent ads and botnets are the common privacy and security concerns among individuals online. This will lead into international cybercrime like compromising bank accounts and facilitating identity theft. With this, OTA provides countermeasures in order to combat these problems. These countermeasures are effective in addressing security and privacy issues that people experience on the virtual world.
