Skype is the latest tech company with security problems. The popular video chat service said it’s investigating an issue involving its password-reset function, which could allow hackers to overtake user accounts. Skype has disabled the password reset in the meantime.

The vulnerability could allow a hacker to sign up for a Skype account using the same email address as an existing user. The cybercriminal can then reset the password for not just the new Skype account but all that use the same master email address.

The company has already reached out to those with possibly affected accounts.
