Recently, Yahoo has reported that it’s resetting email passwords for most of its users after they have discovered that coordinated efforts in compromising accounts has been made by hackers. The attackers behind the crack campaign were reportedly using usernames as well as passwords from an unidentified third-party database. According to Jay Rossiter, Yahoo’s Senior Vice President of Platforms and Personalization Products, this was due to most people are using a single password for most of their internet accounts. Right now, there has been no evidence that these was from Yahoo’s own database.
