BT, an international British telecom company in London warns its clients about ‘phishing’ emails that made it look like a corporate communication from the company.
The warning was issued after they received an email from a client that they are requesting an account termination within three days and all message storage will be deleted alongside. The email also contained several requests including a link to update account information.
The email looks authentic and even suggested tips to avoid being victimized by phishing scams. However, BT denied such communication and encouraged clients to be more cautious about phishing emails by communicating only with the direct contact the association such as BT.com
